Hurtigruten Expeditions Announces 10% Bonus Commission for Galápagos Itineraries

Seattle, WA (October 18, 2022) – Hurtigruten Expeditions, the world's leading expedition cruise company, has announced an additional 10% commission for 2022 and 2023 Galápagos itineraries booked through November 30, 2022. The bonus commission is offered on all four year-round itineraries in the destination, which includes three new itineraries for 2023 and beyond.

The bonus commission complements the company's existing program that gives travel advisors a complimentary cruise when they book three cruises during 2022, which they could use for travel before March 31, 2023. Full details are available on Hurtigruten's trade portal, agentportal.hurtigruten.com, which also includes destination information for the Galápagos.

"Home to more than 9,000 species of wildlife, the Galápagos is one of the most special destinations on this planet, and we know it is a bucket list destination for many adventurous travelers. With our expansion of three more year-round itinerary options onboard the newly-refurbished MS Santa Cruz II, your clients have more opportunities than ever to explore this remarkable destination. Working with our industry partners is key to our business, and as always, we are extremely grateful for their support and business, which is why we have launched this additional bonus commission," said Jeffrey Oar, President, Hurtigruten Group Americas.

With a maximum capacity of 90 guests, Hurtigruten Expeditions' upgraded MS Santa Cruz II takes travelers on an immersive, intimate journey to explore a destination like no other. Accompanied by an Expedition Team of experts that serve as invaluable hosts on every journey, guests will find a wide range of activities both ashore and on board while learning about the incomparable natural wonders through informative and engaging lectures.

Known for the 'Big 15,' the Galápagos Islands are home to some of the most unique species in the world, including Darwin's iconic finches, iguanas, giant tortoises, blue-footed Boobies, and much more. From swimming to hiking, guests have the opportunity to encounter the islands' iconic fauna and flora up close, knowing they are doing so with the most sustainable cruise company in the world.

The Galápagos Islands is Hurtigruten Expeditions' latest destination, and earlier this year, Hurtigruten Group announced a 24.9% minority stake acquisition of its partner Metropolitan Touring.

As of 2023, the company will offer four year-round itineraries covering all of the Galápagos. The current nine-day Eastern Loop will be complemented by the seven-night Western Loop and Northern Loop, which can also be combined into an 11-day itinerary.
